WAVE At i Light Singapore 2026: Interactive Ripples At The Promontory

WAVE is one of the most interactive i Light Singapore 2026 installations to note if you want more than a photo stop. Created by Japanese artist Masamichi Shimada, the work will be located at The Promontory during the 5 to 28 June festival.

The idea is simple enough for casual visitors: five silver sticks stand in the ground, and each gentle tap sends ripples of light and sound outward.

Who Should Add It To The Route

This is a good stop for families, date nights and visitors who prefer participatory installations. The work asks people to slow down and notice how a small action changes the surrounding light and sound.

Because it sits at The Promontory, you can combine it with other Marina Bay waterfront stops without making a separate journey.

Artist And Theme

Shimada’s practice uses LED sources and industrial materials to translate natural forms into light installations. For the 2026 Movement theme, WAVE turns touch into visible energy and makes the environmental message feel immediate.
