The Christmas Train Show 2026 opens in the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay on Friday, 20 November, and runs daily until Sunday, 03 January 2027, from 9am to 9pm. There is no separate ticket: Flower Dome admission covers it, which is S$12 for Singapore resident adults and S$8 for resident children and seniors. This is the third edition, and Gardens by the Bay says it is back by popular demand.
If your kids are the type to stand at the MRT platform window just to watch trains come in, this one is an easy win.
What is new at the Christmas Train Show 2026
Model trains run through miniature landscapes inspired by three places this year, according to the official event page. Each zone is built with plants, so it doubles as a proper Flower Dome floral display.
- United States: trains pass botanical models of railway stations on the West Coast, the East Coast and the American heartland.
- Singapore: an expanded local landscape with two SMRT trains running past MRT stations redesigned by National University of Singapore architecture students.
- Finland: the final stop is Rovaniemi, Santa Claus’s hometown, with his toy factory, post office, a reindeer sleigh and a traditional Finnish sauna.
Around the tracks, expect frosted Christmas trees, conifers and plenty of poinsettias. The Gardens notes that floral details may change, so do not be surprised if the final layout differs a little from the key visual.

Christmas Train Show 2026 tickets and opening hours
You buy a Flower Dome ticket at ticket.gardensbythebay.com.sg or at the counters. Here are the current prices listed on the Flower Dome page, inclusive of GST:
- Singapore residents, Flower Dome only: S$12 adult, S$8 child (3 to 12), S$8 senior (60 and above)
- Singapore residents, Flower Dome plus Cloud Forest: S$34 adult, S$26 child, S$29 senior
- Non-residents, Flower Dome plus Cloud Forest: S$46 adult, S$32 child
Opening hours are 9am to 9pm daily, with last admission at 8.30pm. Plan for about an hour inside, longer if you have a toddler who wants to watch every loop.
Two dates to note. A section of the Flower Field is closed from 1pm to 2.15pm on 20 November for the launch event, so go in the morning or late afternoon on opening day. The Flower Dome also has a scheduled maintenance closure on 16 November, before the show starts.
Tips for a smoother visit
- Weekday mornings are the calmest. School holidays start soon, so weekends will get busy.
- The dome is air-conditioned and cool, which makes it a good haze or rainy-day backup.
- Bring a light layer for younger kids if you plan to stay long.
Free Sensory Moments session on 28 November
On Saturday, 28 November, from 2pm to 5pm, the Gardens runs Sensory Moments at the Mediterranean Garden and Flower Field. Guides lead 10-minute sharings on why poinsettias turn red, how conifers smell and feel, and the snow-like foliage in the winter displays.
The session itself is free, but you still need a Flower Dome ticket to get in. Children under 12 must be with an adult.

Pair it with Christmas Wonderland from 27 November
Outdoors, Christmas Wonderland 2026 returns to Supertree Grove and The Meadow from 27 November 2026 to 03 January 2027. It runs from 6.30pm to 11pm, with last admission at 10.15pm. This 13th edition promises light displays across a 30,000 sqm fairground, a Flying Santa over The Meadow, Blizzard Time at the Spalliera, carnival games and rides.
Ticket prices for Christmas Wonderland have not been released yet, so hold off on planning a budget for that part. A neat plan is to do the train show in the late afternoon, grab dinner, then walk over when the lights come on.

How to get there
The Flower Dome is at 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore 018953. The Gardens’ directions give these options:
- Gardens by the Bay MRT (TE22): take Exit 1 into the Gardens.
- Bayfront MRT (CE1/DT16): take Exit B, follow the underground linkway, then cross Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge.
- By car: the Main Entrance Basement Carpark is nearest to the Flower Dome.
More Christmas outings in Singapore
If you are building a December list, the Gardens is also preparing for The Story of Studio Ghibli from 18 December. For more festive outings, see our guides to RWS Season of Joy on Sentosa and the Orchard Road Christmas light-up on 17 November.
For S$12, a resident adult gets an hour of model trains, Santa’s village and a dome full of poinsettias. That is a lobang I would happily take with the kids before the December crowds arrive.
