UNIQLO Northpoint City two-floor store is open, with NEX expanding from 20 November and Ya Kun UTme! tees at Changi

Yishun folks, your UNIQLO run just got a lot roomier. The UNIQLO Northpoint City two-floor store opened on Friday, 06 November 2026, and it now spans units #01-142 to 146 and #02-175 to 178 in the South Wing. UNIQLO says the duplex is about 18,750 sq ft, which makes it the brand’s largest store in the north. NEX in Serangoon is next in line, with an expanded store due from 20 November, and there are Singapore-only UTme! tees at Changi for anyone flying out before 03 December.

Here is what changed, what is still coming, and which store is worth the trip for you.

What the UNIQLO Northpoint City two-floor store has

The old single-level shop has grown into a duplex, with the second floor linked to the existing ground-floor space. UNIQLO Singapore’s CEO Naoki Kamogawa told trade press that both Northpoint City and NEX are growing by about 70%, and that the company wants its suburban stores built around the neighbourhoods they serve. His short version: “Our stores are our biggest branding assets.”

Three details stood out to me:

  • A mural by local illustrator Kow Fong, drawn around familiar Yishun landmarks. If you know his nostalgic Singapore illustrations, you will spot the style quickly.
  • A wheelchair-accessible lift inside the store, which UNIQLO says is slated for January 2027. Until then, plan on the mall’s own lifts to get between floors.
  • More floor space for the full LifeWear range, so sizes and colours that used to be online-only at this branch should be easier to find on the rack.

The opening specials ran from 06 to 08 November, so today is the last day for them. Northpoint City listed a free UNIQLO Pocketable Tote Bag with a minimum in-store spend of S$100 and a Sure-Win Garapon draw for S$100 spent with a DBS or POSB card. Full terms sit on the Northpoint City offer page and UNIQLO’s own store page.

UNIQLO NEX expands from 20 November

North-easters get their turn later this month. UNIQLO says its NEX store will reopen on 20 November at about 16,780 sq ft, making it the biggest UNIQLO in the North-East region. NEX is at 23 Serangoon Central, linked to Serangoon MRT (NE12/CC13).

A small caution here. The 20 November date comes from UNIQLO’s comments to trade media, and NEX has not posted a store notice yet. Check the UNIQLO app or the store locator before you make a special trip, especially if you are hoping for opening-weekend gifts like the ones Northpoint City had.

Singapore-only UTme! tees at Changi Airport

This is the part I am most kiasu about. UNIQLO has a pop-up in the Terminal 3 Transit area until 03 December 2026, and it carries three new UTme! designs featuring Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Changi Airport that are exclusive to that pop-up. One shows a full kaya toast set with soft-boiled eggs and kopi, another has the Jewel Rain Vortex framed by the Changi Airport MRT sign, and a third is a small Ya Kun iced soya teh print.

Because it sits in Transit, you need a boarding pass to shop there, so this is one for your next holiday rather than a weekend outing. UNIQLO also says a permanent Terminal 4 Transit store opens in December, with trade reports pointing to 04 December. Both airport stores stock travel basics such as HEATTECH and fleece, which is handy if you forgot a layer for a cold-weather trip.

UNIQLO has not published prices for the new Changi designs. For reference, past Singapore UT drops have landed around the S$19.90 mark for adult tees, as with the KAWS x UNIQLO Universe UT tees, and the local-dish UNIQLO x Chatterbox tees started from S$9.90 during a festival promo. Treat those as a rough guide only.

Which UNIQLO should you visit?

  • Live in the north: go to Northpoint City now. It is open, it is bigger, and the mural is a nice local touch.
  • Live in Serangoon, Hougang or Punggol: wait for NEX from 20 November, and confirm the date first.
  • Flying before 03 December: leave 15 minutes at T3 Transit for the Ya Kun and Changi UTme! tees.
  • Just want a sale: keep an eye on UNIQLO’s weekly Limited Offers, like the recent Souffle Yarn sweaters at S$29.90.

My take? The Northpoint City upgrade is a bigger deal than it sounds for the north, where the nearest large UNIQLO used to mean a trip to Causeway Point or town. The airport tees are the fun extra, but only if you already have a flight booked.
