RWS Season of Joy 2026: 15 fireworks nights, an 8m tree and K-pop silent discos from 27 November

Resorts World Sentosa has gone full K-pop for Christmas. RWS Season of Joy 2026 runs from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, and it spreads across Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark and the free public spaces around the resort.

The headline numbers: an eight-metre Christmas tree, 15 nights of fireworks at Universal, two K-pop silent disco nights inside the Oceanarium and a 10-metre dessert tree on Hollywood Boulevard. Some of it is free to walk into. Most of the good stuff needs a park ticket, so here is how it breaks down before you book.

What is free at RWS Season of Joy 2026

You do not need a theme park ticket for the decorations around the resort. The centrepiece is the eight-metre tree, with a gift-box installation along Grand Avenue.

  • Colours of our Wishes: pick one of seven ribbons (Love, Joy, Hope, Resilience, Dreams, Togetherness or New Beginnings), write a wish and tie it onto a shared installation
  • Live entertainment at WEAVE, with pop sets, weekend jazz, carollers, balloon sculpting and family shows
  • Santa meet-and-greets at the Holiday Audio Lounge

A spend-and-redeem at WEAVE is listed as coming soon. Spend at least S$120 on up to two same-day receipts and you can pick up one of two Korean-inspired keepsakes, in a choice of seven colours.

A Universal Christmas: fireworks dates and the dessert tree

Over at Universal Studios Singapore, Hollywood Boulevard becomes Dazzling Dessert Studios, anchored by a 10-metre confectionery tree. Santa and Mrs Claus make appearances, and Hello Kitty and Kuromi do meet-and-greets.

In the New York zone, the North Pole Jingle Jam brings out Trolls, Sesame Street and Minions characters for the Universal Jingle Jam show. Fireworks are listed on these dates:

  • 4, 5, 11 and 12 December 2026
  • 16 to 20 December 2026
  • 22 to 25 December 2026, so Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are covered
  • 1 and 2 January 2027

Note the gap on 21 December. If fireworks are the whole point of your trip, plan around that date.

Glowcean Wonderland at Singapore Oceanarium

The Oceanarium’s Christmas theme leans on bioluminescence, with glowing “Oceanic Glow” sculptures by Megan Foo, a Manja the Manta Ray trail and a stamp collection card for the kids. RWS suggests setting aside about three and a half hours.

  • Underwater Christmas Presentation at 3.30pm daily in the Open Ocean habitat, 27 November to 31 December
  • Santa Dive Feeding at 4pm, 27 November to 31 December, except Mondays and Fridays
  • Meet Manja at 1.30pm and 3pm, 27 November to 3 January
  • Christmas carols at 2.30pm on 19, 25 and 26 December

The K-pop Silent Disco Nights are the more unusual draw. K-pop Kraze runs on 4 December from 8pm to 11pm, and a second night follows on 18 December from 8.30pm to 11.30pm. Admission conditions differ from a normal Oceanarium visit, so read the fine print before you pay.

Korean-inspired festive food also turns up at Explorer’s Nook, Tide Deli and Ocean Bites inside the Oceanarium for the whole season. If your kids are already obsessed with the mantas, our guide to the Oceanarium’s manta ray snorkelling sessions is worth a look too.

K-Wave Christmas at Adventure Cove

Adventure Cove Waterpark gets a resident DJ at BluWater Bay, themed pool activities and Korean-style festive snacks. December is peak monsoon season, and outdoor attractions can close in bad weather. Go in the morning and keep an eye on the sky.

Tickets, passes and hotel bundles

RWS has not published a single price list on the Season of Joy guide, so check the live rates on the booking page. Here is what each option includes:

  • Standard 2-Park Pass: one day each at Universal Studios Singapore and Singapore Oceanarium, used within seven days, with priority entry at both and savings of up to S$24
  • 2-Park Pass with Festive Perks: adds one Universal Express ride, priority entry to four shows (Trolls Hug Time Jubilee, Donkey LIVE, Shrek 4-D Adventure and WaterWorld) and reserved viewing for the Jingle Jam and fireworks
  • Oceanarium two-ticket offer, which throws in a four-piece Pierre Hermé macaron tin

One catch with the 2-Park Pass: priority entry is not the same as Universal Express, and you cannot re-enter Universal on the same ticket. Kiasu planners who want to queue less should look at the Festive Perks version instead.

For a staycation, the 3D2N bundles at Hotel Ora, Equarius Hotel and The Laurus come with breakfast for two and two adult tickets each to Universal and the Oceanarium. The Family Stay Package at Equarius or Hotel Ora skips the park tickets but adds breakfast for two adults and two children, an extra bed, parking and a S$200 RWS gift voucher.

Getting there

RWS is at 8 Sentosa Gateway. Take the MRT to HarbourFront, walk up to VivoCity Level 3 and hop on the Sentosa Express to Resorts World station. Bus 123 and RWS8 also stop there.

Season of Joy overlaps with school holidays, so weekends will be packed. If you are stacking festive outings, our list of Christmas 2026 family dates covers the Gardens by the Bay train show, and RWS also hosts the DINO-A-LIVE dinosaur show from 3 to 6 December. I would go on a weekday after 4pm, when the lights come on and the crowd thins.
