What SG60 ActiveSG credits actually pay for, and what SportSG has not put a number on

Somewhere along the way, SG60 ActiveSG credits became known as something that covers pool entry, gym entry and court bookings in full. The Sport Singapore release behind the scheme does not say that. Percentages appear only for programmes, and that gap is worth more to a member than the deadline everybody already talks about.

The deadline comes first and takes one sentence. Credits run to 31 December 2026, and whatever is left rolls into 2027 once a member makes a single transaction this year, which is the rule we set out in August. Everything below is the part that piece left open.

School halls, and the rate nobody quotes

The biggest expansion is the least talked about. From 1 November 2025, credits became usable at sport facilities under the Dual-Use Scheme for all play slots, bringing school indoor sports halls and school fields in. More than 370 school facilities were under it when the release went out. For weekend badminton or five-a-side, that is the change that matters.

The rate card adds the part almost nobody mentions. On the individual rates page, last updated 25 August 2026, every sport has a non-peak and a peak column, and the school hall and school field rows read NA under non-peak. A school hall badminton court is S$7.40 an hour at the Singapore Citizen and PR rate, S$9.70 standard. An ActiveSG court is S$3.50 off-peak and S$7.40 at peak, so the school hall’s only price is the normal court’s dearest. A school field for two hours is S$50 citizen or S$65 standard, against S$37 and S$48.10 on an ActiveSG field.

That is a budget note rather than a complaint. The school hall is not the cheap booking, it is the booking that exists on a Sunday, which is a different and still good reason to make it. The empty column follows from two published windows. SportSG says the Dual-Use Scheme opens school halls and fields on Saturday afternoons and evenings and on Sundays. Its rate card defines peak as 6pm to 10pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 10pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Every hour the scheme opens sits inside peak, so the row has no cheaper price to quote.

The percentages SportSG did publish

Active Health programmes have been offset at 100% of their cost since June 2025. School holiday programmes are offset at 60%, which is why they carry the SHP60 label inside MyActiveSG+ rather than the standard 30%, and every other programme is offset at 30%. Those three are the only percentages in the release.

Gym entry, pool entry and facility bookings get one sentence between them: credits can be used to cover entry to ActiveSG gyms and pools, including the World Aquatics Championships Arena, and to book facilities. That is where it stops, with no percentage on any of the three. Payable with credits is the strongest claim the source supports, and a 100% figure sounds entirely reasonable in practice, which is probably why it travels.

What a balance is worth at the counter

An adult citizen pays S$1.00 to swim at a normal complex on a weekday and S$2.50 for a gym session, so a S$100 balance is a hundred swims or forty gym visits if credits settle the fee outright. The release does not confirm that last step, and it is the one most people take for granted. Where the arithmetic is precise is programmes, with 60% against a school holiday programme carrying more than half the fee.

Who has actually spent theirs

By 30 September 2025, more than 1.1 million members had claimed SG60 credits and more than 40% had used them at least once. The rest are the group a deadline catches.

To check a balance, sign in to MyActiveSG+ with Singpass and open your ActiveSG credits. The old Active Wallet that held MyCash is gone, discontinued in 2024, and MyActiveSG+ has no stored-value wallet, so the credits are the only balance left to look at. First-time members who signed up by 31 December 2025 received S$200 in total, the S$100 top-up plus the S$100 new-member incentive running since 2014. That window has closed.
