Singapore International Marathon 2026: 5km and Kids Dash entries close tonight, 31 October

Registration for the 5km and Kids Dash at the 2026 BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas closes at 11.59pm tonight, 31 October, or earlier if either category fills. They are now the only two categories still taking entries. The Standard Chartered 10km has sold out, and the marathon and half marathon are listed as sold out as well.

What is still open

The 5km costs S$98 for local runners and S$118 for international entrants. It starts at the F1 Pit Building at 9.30pm on Friday, 4 December, finishes at the National Stadium, and has a cut-off of one hour 15 minutes. The minimum age is 10 in the calendar year of birth.

The Kids Dash runs earlier the same day from the Great Eastern Promenade, with morning flag-offs. The 600m non-competitive race costs S$50 and goes off in three waves by age: 0 to 3 at 10am, 4 to 6 at 10.30am and 7 to 9 at 11.30am. The 1.6km non-competitive race costs S$55, starts at 8am and is open to ages 7 to 12. The competitive 1.6km costs S$60, starts at 7.30am for ages 10 to 12, and carries a timing chip and a winner’s trophy for the top three in each age group.

Fees do not rise as the deadline nears. There is no tiered pricing this year, so a late entry costs the same as an early one. Standard Chartered cardholders get 10 per cent off while the first 8,000 registrations last, and the discount cannot be stacked with any other offer.

What has already closed

The 10km was the other evening race, priced at S$130 for local runners and S$150 for international entrants, and it has sold out. Local slots for the BYD Marathon at S$188 went in August, and the entry fees page now marks the adidas Half Marathon sold out at S$168 for local runners and S$188 for international ones. It marks the marathon and half sold out on both rates, although the organiser’s FAQ still refers to limited international slots for those two distances, so anyone entering from overseas should check the registration portal before travelling.

The rest of the weekend still runs to the full programme. The half marathon flags off at 4.30am on Saturday, 5 December with a cut-off of three hours 45 minutes, and the marathon and Crew Challenge go at 4.30am on Sunday, 6 December. All of them start at the F1 Pit Building and finish in the National Stadium.

Getting to the Friday night races

Trains run on normal hours on Friday, 4 December. Promenade (Exit A), Nicoll Highway (Exit B), Esplanade (Exit A) and City Hall (Exit C) are the stations closest to the start. There will be no early trains on Saturday, 5 December, and ShareTransport shuttles cost S$12 a person across 5 and 6 December. On Sunday only, selected stretches of the North-South, East-West and Circle Lines open from 2.30am with free rides for the public, and the last free trains leave Bukit Batok, Jurong East, Tanah Merah and Serangoon at 4.30am.

Refunds, bags and weather

Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the runner bought RunFlex at registration. That add-on allows a cancellation by 27 November for an 80 per cent refund, excluding the cost of RunFlex itself. Bag deposit costs S$18 and also has to be bought when signing up.

Races go ahead in light rain, but the organiser can delay, suspend or cancel a race for thunderstorms, haze or other severe weather. Haze has already cancelled the Great Eastern Women’s Run this season and cut the longest distance at Garmin Run Singapore to 10km.

Race pack collection

Race packs are collected from 3 to 5 December at Arena Park, The Kallang, 5 Stadium Drive. The last entry into the collection hall is at 6pm on the final day, and packs left uncollected are disposed of. Runners need the QR code on their confirmation slip, and one person can collect up to two packs for others with an authorisation form.
