Singapore Airlines will not fly to Dubai before March. The airline’s advisory on flights affected by the situation in the Middle East, updated at 11.30am on Friday 30 October, extends the cancellation of SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore until 28 February 2027. The previous end date was 1 December.

Who is affected
The cancellations cover every SQ494 and SQ495 service up to 28 February, which takes in the December school holidays, Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year travel from Singapore. SIA first posted the advisory on 1 March 2026, and Friday’s update replaces the earlier 1 December end date. The airline also warns that other flights could be hit while the situation stays fluid, and points customers to its Flight Status tool for the latest on any booking.
How to get your money back
Passengers on a cancelled flight can claim a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket.
- Booked directly with SIA: use the airline’s Assistance Request Form.
- Booked through a travel agent or a partner airline: go to that agent or airline, which handles the refund.

SIA also asks passengers to keep their contact details up to date through Manage Booking on its website, or to sign up for its mobile notification service, so that any further schedule change reaches them directly.
Planning a Dubai trip from Singapore
Anyone who had pencilled in Dubai on SIA for the year-end break needs a new plan now rather than in late November. Look at the dates on your ticket first. If the trip falls before 1 March, the SIA leg will not operate and the refund route above applies.
