Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s indoor playscape Curiosity Cove is getting into the Halloween spirit with its very first seasonal event. The Mischief Within, presented with edutainment brand Ranger Buddies, invites families to step into a playful mystery this October, where familiar places have changed, clues have appeared and Ranger Buddies Al and Min need help to crack the case.
Running from 1 October to 1 November 2026, the event unfolds across two experiences: Boo-tiful Day by daylight and a spookier after-dark Sundown on selected Friday to Sunday evenings.
Boo-tiful Day: carnival fun for little ones
From 10am to 5.30pm daily, young Ranger Buddies can take on carnival challenges like toppling a mischief-conjured pumpkin wall or blasting a horde of mischievous pumpkins. Creative types can make a neon glow painting or a glowing night lamp to take home, while a candy bag and roving crew make trick-or-treating part of the fun. Boo-tiful Day activities are included with regular Curiosity Cove admission.
Sundown: an after-dark adventure
As Sundown begins on selected evenings from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, the mischief grows stronger. Families take on The Mischief Within Trail, a four-challenge adventure that has groups rallying a hoverball, counting glowing eyes in the dark, piecing a reef creature back together and cracking a final code to seal the mischief away. The night builds to a dazzling bubble performance by CJ Bubbles and closes with a victory parade, complete with Best Dressed awards for one child and one family winner each night.
Families are encouraged to come in their Halloween best at Sundown. Guests with existing Curiosity Cove day-admission tickets can extend into a Sundown session for an additional $25.
Prices, treats and an overnight option
Sundown admission (which admits one adult and one child) is priced at $50 on peak Saturdays and $40 on non-peak Fridays and Sundays, with special rates for Friends of Mandai and WildPass holders. There are also Halloween-themed bites at the Ranger Buddies Cafe and Owa Bistro, and a Play & Stay bundle from $229 that pairs Sundown with an overnight tent stay at Reservoir Retreat.
