Mid-Autumn with kids this weekend: Wan Qing lanterns, SCCC Bit Bit Forest, GBTB battery-only

For Mid-Autumn with kids this weekend (18 to 20 September 2026), Gardens by the Bay’s outdoor trail is already open on Friday, while Wan Qing lantern-making, Lights by the Lake and SCCC’s Bit Bit Forest plus mass lantern walk open from Saturday 19.

Chinese Garden: Wan Qing and Lights by the Lake

Wan Qing Mid-Autumn at Chinese Garden runs Sat 19 and Sun 20 from 6.30pm to 9.30pm with free lantern making (admission every 30 minutes, last at 9pm), hanfu dress-up and photo, and an Uncle Ting activity booklet at one per child while stocks last.

Lights by the Lake lantern displays run 6.30pm to 10.30pm from Sat 19. Rockestra on Sat 19 is a free open-lawn concert at Ficus Lawn. Chinese Garden MRT is the nearest station.

SCCC Bit Bit Forest and lantern walk

Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s Mid-Autumn Family FUN sits Sat 19 and Sun 20. Bit Bit Forest Mid-Autumn Light Up is the free bunny installation at the Roof Garden and Concourse. The mass lantern walk, Talking to the Moon, runs 7.30pm to 8.30pm both nights; registration starts at 7pm at SCO Exhibition Hall 3, free, first come first served and capped at about 80 walkers.

Gardens by the Bay: battery lanterns only

Gardens by the Bay outdoor lantern trail is free 6pm to 10pm through 27 September, including Friday 18. Craft Corner runs Sat 19 and Sun 20. Only battery-operated lanterns are allowed; open flame is prohibited. Singapore-resident children aged 12 and under get free Flower Dome entry to 27 September for accompanying ticketed adults.
