Junior colleges taking part in Phase 2 of Direct School Admission for junior colleges (DSA-JC) are due to notify applicants of their 2026 selection outcomes by Monday (Sep 7).
The Ministry of Education (MOE) publishes that deadline on its DSA-JC overview and selection-outcomes pages, last updated on 5 May 2026 and checked on Wednesday (Sep 2).
Phase 2 selection ran from Monday (Aug 17). Parents who receive an offer must submit a completed acceptance form through FormSG to the school by 5pm on Friday (Sep 11). FormSG sends an acknowledgement email on successful submission.
Applicants may accept only one offer. Those who also hold a Polytechnic Early Admissions Exercise (Poly EAE) offer must choose one pathway. Accepting both renders the acceptances void unless one is rejected before the acceptance stage ends on 11 September 2026, according to the Poly EAE frequently asked questions page updated on 5 May 2026.
PHASE 2 SCHOOLS
Nine institutions take part in Phase 2, according to MOE’s how-to-apply page: Anderson Serangoon Junior College, Anglo-Chinese Junior College, Catholic Junior College, Jurong Pioneer Junior College, Nanyang Junior College, Singapore Sports School, St. Andrew’s Junior College, Tampines Meridian Junior College and Yishun Innova Junior College.
Twenty schools took part in Phase 1, with outcomes due by Tuesday (Aug 11) and acceptance by 5pm on Friday (Aug 14). Some schools appear in both phases. The parallel secondary exercise, DSA-Sec 2026, issued school outcomes by 28 August, with preference ranking from 19 to 23 October.
WHAT ACCEPTANCE BINDS
An accepted offer reserves a place. Admission is confirmed only if the student meets JC admission criteria on the GCE O-Level examination results. MOE’s JC admissions page states that the L1R5 gross aggregate score must not exceed 20, alongside subject grade requirements.
Final allocation arrives by email when O-Level results are released in January 2027. Students successfully admitted through DSA-JC cannot take part in the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) and cannot transfer after results. They report to the allocated JC on the school day after JAE posting results in early February 2027.
Students who do not qualify for JC admission on their O-Level results are not admitted through DSA-JC and may take part in JAE for Millennia Institute, polytechnic and ITE courses they are eligible for.
CANCEL BEFORE JAE
Parents who wish to withdraw an accepted DSA-JC offer so the student can join JAE must cancel by 5pm on Wednesday (Oct 7). The parent contacts the school for the cancellation form and submits it through FormSG with the FormSG acceptance acknowledgement and a copy of the parent’s identification document.
MOE’s 5 May 2026 press release says secondary schools and junior colleges may take up to 20 per cent of their non-Integrated Programme Secondary 1 or Junior College 1 intake through DSA.
