WhatsApp has announced its latest New Feature Roundup, a batch of updates aimed at making the messaging app easier to use across more devices throughout the day. For the many Singapore users who run WhatsApp as their default chat app, here is what is rolling out now.

Sign up directly on iPad
Following the launch of WhatsApp for iPad last year, you can now create and register a WhatsApp account directly from the iPad app, without first linking it to a phone. Handy for anyone who leans on a tablet as their main screen.
A refreshed CarPlay and Android Auto experience
WhatsApp has redesigned the in-car experience across both platforms, making it easier to listen to and reply to messages, make calls, check recent call history and reach favourite contacts, all hands-free from the car’s display.
PDFs, upgraded
You can now open PDF documents directly within WhatsApp on web and desktop without downloading them first. Powered by Adobe Acrobat, PDFs can also be lightly edited with tools such as highlighting and annotations, which should make quick document collaboration more convenient.
Share what you’re listening to
Music can now be shared directly from Apple Music and Spotify to WhatsApp Status. With a few taps, you can let friends know what is on repeat, adding another personal touch to Status updates.
When can Singapore users expect it?
