There’s a new reason to step out after dark this August — and you won’t have to go far. Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis (LTB) 2026 is arriving at the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct from 1 August to 5 September 2026, with lights, digital art and local folklore woven into the streets, buildings and hidden corners of one of Singapore’s most beloved heritage districts.
Organised by HeritageSG and held in conjunction with the Singapore Night Festival 2026, LTB 2026 is billed as a new kind of National Day night out — one that swaps the usual fireworks-from-a-distance experience for something altogether more immersive. Think historical facades transformed into storytelling canvases, tucked-away spaces that suddenly pulse with light, and a precinct that comes alive in ways you haven’t seen before.

Local Folklore, Five Locations
This year’s theme draws on Singapore’s rich oral and folk traditions, with local stories brought to life across five BBB locations:
- Artsplace @ Waterloo Centre
- Reflection Pool @ Bras Basah MRT Station
- Stamford Place
- Stamford Walkway
- National Museum of Singapore (1–12 August only)
Each site becomes its own experiential zone — with festival-goers invited to explore Singapore’s local stories in a new light, quite literally, while celebrating the nation’s 61st birthday.

What’s On — and When
LTB 2026 runs on the following schedule throughout August and into September:
- Fridays and Saturdays: 7.30pm – 12 midnight
- Sundays to Thursdays: 7.30pm – 11pm
One of the highlighted installations is Better plant chilli so it won’t rain! by Arup — a playful nod to the beloved Singaporean superstition, rendered as a glowing large-scale light artwork. It’s exactly the kind of work that makes LTB feel distinctly local: rooted in things Singaporeans actually say, believe and laugh about.

Part of Singapore Night Festival 2026
LTB 2026 sits within the wider Singapore Night Festival (SNF) 2026 programme — Singapore’s annual outdoor arts and light festival that has grown into one of the most anticipated events on the cultural calendar. Running alongside SNF, LTB carves out its own distinct identity within the BBB precinct, spotlighting the area’s unique character as Singapore’s arts and heritage heartland.
If you haven’t yet made the BBB precinct part of your August nights, this is the year to start. Admission is free, the locations are all walkable from Bras Basah or Dhoby Ghaut MRT, and the experience changes depending on when you go — early evenings for a more contemplative mood, Friday and Saturday nights for the full festival buzz until midnight.
