Vietjet Singapore to Nha Trang flights start 11 December, four times a week

Nha Trang has always been one of those Vietnam beach towns that Singaporeans talk about but rarely get to without a detour through Ho Chi Minh City. That changes next month. Vietjet Singapore to Nha Trang flights begin on 11 December 2026, with four direct return services a week between Changi and Cam Ranh International Airport.

The route was first announced in March with a 1 June start, then pushed back six months. Vietjet reconfirmed the December launch when it formally unveiled the service at the Vietnam-Singapore Tech Connect Forum on 29 May 2026, so the year-end school holidays will be the first real test of demand.

Vietjet Singapore to Nha Trang flights: the schedule

According to Vietjet’s announcement, the service runs four times a week. Here is what is confirmed so far:

  • First flight: 11 December 2026
  • Operating days: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
  • Route: Singapore Changi to Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR), which serves Nha Trang
  • Frequency: four return flights a week

Flight timings have moved since the March announcement, when the route was still due to start in June. Check the current departure and arrival times on Vietjet’s booking page before you plan transfers or hotel check-ins. The Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday pattern does make a long weekend easy: fly out Friday, return Monday, and you only burn one day of leave.

Which terminal at Changi?

Vietjet runs its Singapore flights out of Changi Terminal 4, and has done so since 2018. T4 has the automated check-in, bag drop and immigration lanes, which helps when the December crowds hit. Your booking confirmation will state the terminal, so give it a quick look on the day.

This is Vietjet’s fifth direct link from Singapore, after Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Phu Quoc. Together they already add up to more than 100 flights a week. The airline says it has carried over 3.8 million passengers on more than 22,000 flights between the two countries since 2014.

Why Nha Trang for a year-end trip

Nha Trang is a proper beach city with a long sandy bay, island-hopping boat trips and plenty of seafood at friendly prices. It is also a good base for spa days and mud baths, and the resort strip near Cam Ranh is closer to the airport than the city itself. For families, it is a shorter, cheaper alternative to a long-haul beach holiday.

One honest caveat: the central coast’s wet season usually runs from around September to December. Early-December trips can still bring rain and choppy seas, which can cancel island tours. If sunshine is the main goal, January onwards tends to be the safer bet, so keep a flexible plan B like a cooking class or a day at the hot springs.

Entry and money tips for Singapore travellers

  • Singapore passport holders can visit Vietnam visa-free for up to 30 days. Our Vietnam entry requirements guide covers passport validity and the e-visa if you stay longer.
  • Budget fares on Vietjet are usually hand-carry only, so add checked baggage at booking. It costs less online than at the airport counter.
  • Cam Ranh airport sits south of the city, so budget roughly 30 to 45 minutes by taxi or Grab to central Nha Trang.
  • Pay in Vietnamese dong where you can. A card with no foreign transaction fee, or a multi-currency wallet, saves a few dollars on every meal.

More choice to Vietnam this December

Nha Trang is not the only new Vietnam option this season. Vietnam Airlines is also going daily on its Da Nang route, as we covered in Vietnam Airlines starts daily Da Nang to Singapore flights on 17 November. Vietnam is already one of Changi’s fastest-growing markets, with traffic up 20.5 per cent in the third quarter according to our Changi Q3 traffic report.

More seats usually means sharper fares, so it is worth watching for Vietjet’s launch promotions in the weeks before 11 December. Book early if you are locked into school holiday dates; the kiasu approach pays off on new routes with only four flights a week.
