teamLab Future World Has Area Closures From 15 June For New Experiences

Families planning teamLab Future World should note a timing change: selected areas will be temporarily unavailable from 15 June to 28 August 2026 as ArtScience Museum introduces new experiences.

The exhibition remains a daily attraction, but the advisory matters for parents who are planning a school-holiday visit around specific installations.

Current Visit Details

  • Friday to Saturday: 10am to 9pm, last entry at 8.15pm.

Advisories To Know

Strollers are not permitted inside teamLab Future World, with a designated stroller parking area near the exhibition entrance. This is worth knowing before arriving with toddlers or a sleeping child.

The Aerial Climbing through a Flock of Coloured Birds artwork requires visitors to be at least 1.20m tall, and covered shoes are required. Open-toe sandals, flip-flops and high heels are not allowed for that artwork. Crystal Universe also has a mirrored floor, which may affect clothing choices.

Those rules are not small details for family planning. A child below 1.20m may still enjoy the wider exhibition, but the climbing artwork should not be the promised highlight. Covered shoes are the safer default for everyone.

The mirrored-floor note also matters for skirts and dresses. If you want a fuss-free visit, choose clothing that works for crouching, walking, reflective floors and darkened rooms.

Best Planning Move

If your child has a favourite installation, check the museum page before buying timed tickets during the 15 June to 28 August enhancement period. If you are visiting anyway, pair Future World with another ArtScience Museum exhibition so the trip still feels complete even if one area is being refreshed.

The cleanest plan is to treat Future World as the interactive half of the outing and add either Into the Ocean or a meal break as the slower half. That way, the temporary unavailability of selected areas does not carry the whole day.

For repeat visitors, the enhancement period may be a reason to wait until late August. For first-timers with school-holiday time already blocked out, it is still workable as long as expectations are set before arrival.
