Tampines Rovers open the 2026-27 Singapore Premier League season at home to Balestier Khalsa on Friday (11 September 2026), kicking off at 7.30pm at Our Tampines Hub. The fixture is the Matchweek 1 curtain-raiser after Lion City Sailors lifted the Community Shield last Sunday.
Season context
Sailors beat Tampines 2-0 in the Playback Community Shield at Jalan Besar on 6 September, with Ilhan Fandi scoring on debut. Tampines finished second last season and now start the league campaign on home turf. Balestier placed fourth in 2025-26 and travel to Our Tampines Hub for the Friday night opener.

Hougang United host Lion City Sailors at Bishan Stadium on Saturday, 12 September. Young Lions face FC Jurong at Jalan Besar on 13 September, and Geylang International meet Tanjong Pagar United at Our Tampines Hub on 14 September. All four Matchweek 1 games are listed at 7.30pm.
Name changes to note
Albirex Niigata Singapore now competes as FC Jurong, and Tampines have dropped the BG Pathum prefix. Friday’s Tampines versus Balestier meeting is the first league test of those branding shifts as well as the first points of the new table.
