Leylah Fernandez and Maja Chwalinska meet in the Singapore Tennis Open semi-finals at OCBC Arena on Saturday, 26 September 2026, not before 6pm, with the winner to play Talia Gibson in Sunday’s final.
Fernandez, the sixth seed, and fifth seed Chwalinska play the only singles semi-final on Center Court at The Kallang. The doubles semi-finals share the card: third seeds Miyu Kato and Ellen Perez open against Tang Qianhui and Xu Yifan at 2.30pm, and Costoulas and Gibson play Routliffe and Sutjiadi after the singles.
How the last four were set
Chwalinska beat fourth seed Elise Mertens 6-2, 6-2 in Friday’s quarter-finals, the most one-sided result of the round. Fernandez removed top seed Mirra Andreeva 6-2, 7-5, and Gibson came through seventh seed Maria Sakkari 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. Tatiana Prozorova beat Xinyu Wang 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 to set up a semi-final against Gibson.
Prozorova was withdrawn under the WTA’s concussion protocol after being struck near the face by a Miyu Kato overhead late in Friday’s doubles quarter-final, sending Gibson into Sunday’s final by walkover.
The WTA event, presented by BNP Paribas, closes with the finals at OCBC Arena on Sunday, 27 September.
