The Best Sports Photo of the Year was awarded to Kelly Wong for a stunning image from the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok — showing Team Singapore’s fencer Amita Berthier forming a heart shape with her opponent from the Philippines using their sabres during the Women’s Foil Team final. It is the kind of image that transcends sport: a gesture of friendship, sportsmanship, and shared humanity, immortalised on film.
