Singapore’s largest nocturnal celebration is entering its home stretch. Singapore Night Festival 2026 (SNF) wraps up this weekend, running until 5 September, and there is still time to catch the myths-and-legends spectacle lighting up the Bras Basah–Bugis precinct after dark. Not-to-miss highlights for the final weekend
Festival organiser HeritageSG has flagged several closing-weekend highlights alongside the returning Night Lights installations, immersive walking experiences, live performances and workshops. Here are the ones worth planning your evening around.
Between Stories — Step inside CHIJMES for a site-specific installation performance that revives Singapore’s tradition of street storytelling through dynamic light and movement.
elsewhere @ Armenian Street — The Peranakan Museum and Armenian Street transform after dark with immersive storytelling, vibrant installations and creative performances inspired by Southeast Asian folklore.
MALAM Projection Mapping Competition and Tales of Earth and Sea by The Fox, The Folks — Two of the festival’s signature large-scale light works turn building facades into canvases for the closing weekend.
Legends After Dark: A Festival Walking Tour — Join a curated after-dark tour through SNF 2026’s artworks and installations to uncover the myths and legends behind them. For a family outing, Festival at the Fort 2026 brings Fort Canning Hill alive with light and projection installations, hands-on workshops and a night trail.

Elsewhere across the precinct, catch Our Songs, Our Stories, a community singalong of Xinyao and SG music with CAPITAL 958’s DJ line-up; A Date with Tradition 2026 at Stamford Arts Centre; All Things Singapore at the National Library Building and National Archives; and SMU Arts Fest’s outdoor shadow-puppetry production Once Upon an Island, which reimagines the founding of Singapura, the Redhill swordfish legend and the legend of Kusu Island.
