Italian dance duo Panzetti/Ticconi returns to Singapore with a brand-new work this June. Their new piece, Carillon, premieres at Esplanade Theatre Studio from 19 to 21 June 2026 as part of Elusive, a double-bill presented by T.H.E Dance Company under the cont·act Dance Festival — and supported by the Embassy of Italy in Singapore.
About Elusive
Elusive brings together two internationally acclaimed choreographic voices in new works created with the dance artists of T.H.E Dance Company:
- Carillon by Panzetti/Ticconi (Italy/Germany) — inspired by the mechanics of the music box, developed during a month-long artistic residency in Singapore. This marks the duo’s first original choreography together with T.H.E Dance Company, following their 2024 collaboration.
- O:ro by Art Project BORA (South Korea)
Each work unfolds from a precise line of inquiry, exploring different ways the body can hold memory, sensation, and time. In Carillon, meticulous patterns gather force as cycles slip and falter — questioning what happens when reassurance begins to destabilise.
About the Artists
Panzetti/Ticconi is an Italian-German choreographic duo known for creating works of quiet intensity and formal rigour. Their previous collaboration with T.H.E Dance Company in 2024 established a strong creative bond that now culminates in their first original choreography for the company.
T.H.E Dance Company is one of Singapore’s leading contemporary dance companies, known for commissioning and producing works with leading international choreographers.
Elusive is also part of the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2026 — Closing Curtain, organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), adding a wider regional and diplomatic dimension to the programme.

Contemporary dance at Esplanade’s Theatre Studio tends to be intimate and immersive — the scale of the venue places audiences close to the performers, which suits a programme of this kind.
