The first question about Nailoong at Changi is not what to buy. It is whether your itinerary enters the transit area. The promotion runs from 22 September to 21 October 2026 across Terminals 1 to 4 after immigration. Jewel and the public arrival or departure halls are not substitutes for transit access.
Changi Airport’s official Nailoong promotion page says a qualifying S$60 spend in a single receipt at participating transit shops can redeem one blind box, while stocks last. The design is random. Spending more does not turn the box into a chosen character.
The access map
| Where you are | Can this alone access the promotion? | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Departing from T1, T2, T3 or T4 | Potentially, after departure immigration | Terminal, shop participation and operating hours |
| Transiting between flights | Potentially, if remaining airside | Connection time and inter-terminal transfer |
| Arriving and clearing immigration | No, once landside | Redeem before leaving transit if eligible |
| Visiting Jewel without a flight | No | Jewel is landside and does not grant transit access |
Do not buy an air ticket solely on the assumption that every itinerary can roam all four transit areas. Security, immigration, gate assignment and connection time control movement.
The S$60 receipt test
- Use one participating transit retailer.
- Reach at least S$60 on a single eligible receipt.
- Check excluded products and payment rules before paying.
- Keep the original receipt readable.
- Redeem at the stated counter before leaving transit.
- Accept that design and stock are not guaranteed.
Two S$30 receipts should not be assumed to combine. Likewise, a S$120 receipt should not be assumed to earn two boxes unless the live terms explicitly say so.
Random means random
The blind-box mechanic creates a real chance of receiving a design you already own or do not prefer. Set the purchase decision independently: buy only items you would have purchased without the premium. The box is a bonus, not a discount equal to S$60.
A Terminal 4 Peranakan-themed Nailoong is highlighted in the campaign. Confirm whether it is a location-specific redemption, a random inclusion or subject to any further term on the day. Do not promise a T4 design merely because the traveller shops in T4.
Build the airport sequence
For departure, clear check-in and immigration first, then locate a participating shop and redemption point without compromising boarding time. For a connection, calculate the walk or Skytrain transfer to the next gate before shopping. Keep at least the airline’s recommended gate buffer.
Our Terminal 1 transit guide helps distinguish airside facilities from public areas. Travellers should still follow the live gate and security instructions.
Stock is a separate gate
“While stocks last” means the campaign can continue after a particular design or counter has run out. Ask about availability before assembling a purchase for the premium. A social-media stock report from yesterday is not proof of stock at the current terminal.
The general Changi happenings page can be checked for current campaign updates and other events. Use the specific Nailoong terms for redemption.
If you are not flying
Do not attempt to enter transit without a valid journey. Fans who want a landside blind-box experience can compare the format of Happibox at SingPost Centre, which is a separate retailer and not part of this promotion.
The spend decision
Pass four gates before paying: valid transit access, participating shop, one eligible S$60 receipt and confirmed stock. Then treat the design as random. If any gate fails, keep the money or buy only what you actually need for the trip.
Terminal transfer check
Write the arrival terminal, departure terminal, gate time and minimum connection buffer. Only then decide whether another transit terminal is practical. A collectible is not a reason to risk a flight or cross a security boundary the itinerary does not support.
Qualifying-purchase ledger
| Field | Check before paying |
|---|---|
| Retailer | Listed as participating for the promotion |
| Location | Inside an eligible transit terminal |
| Products | No excluded category in the live terms |
| Receipt | One receipt at or above S$60 |
| Redemption | Counter open, stock confirmed and before boarding |
Avoid manufactured spend
If the intended purchase is S$42, spending another S$18 solely to obtain a random box makes the premium cost at least that extra S$18. Compare that with the value you place on an unknown design. Do not describe the box as free without acknowledging the spend condition.
Gifts and duplicates
Because the design is random, decide in advance whether a duplicate will be kept, gifted or traded safely. Do not promise another fan a specific design before opening. Any aftermarket exchange is outside Changi’s promotion and needs its own scam precautions.
Keep airside purchases travel-ready
Check airline, destination and security rules for what you buy. Leave enough cabin-bag space and protect the box. A qualifying receipt does not override liquid, customs or baggage restrictions.
Verify the source account
Use Changi’s official site for changes, not a fan repost. Promotion dates can remain live while a specific redemption point is out of stock. Save the terms checked on the travel day and ask staff before spending.
Worked spend decision
A traveller already intending to buy S$63 of eligible goods may treat the blind box as an added promotion benefit, subject to stock. A traveller intending to buy S$24 would need at least S$36 of extra eligible spending. Write that incremental amount down before browsing. It is the practical price of entering a random redemption mechanic.
If the terminal counter cannot confirm stock before payment, buy only what remains worthwhile without the collectible.
