LANY meets Singapore fans at The Kallang pop-up with a 1,000-piece lamb plushie

LANY Singapore fans got a lot closer to the band than the back row. The American indie-pop duo kicked off their return with an intimate fan session at the Bank of Singapore (BOS) Lounge at The Kallang on 3 November, a day before their sold-out show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The LANY Singapore Pop Up was put together by Universal Music Singapore and The Kallang, and frontman Paul Klein and drummer Jake Goss both turned up.

Inside the LANY fan session

987FM’s Germaine Tan hosted the session. The band talked about their current tour and played a game segment with fans, and three fans were picked to ask their own questions in the Q&A before getting a photo with LANY.

Shayna, 22, was one of them. “This is my first time meeting them; I don’t usually get so lucky with these kinds of things,” she said, adding that the band were “so engaging”.

The lamb plushie everyone came for

The BOS Lounge was turned into a full pop-up, with photo spots, a plushie decoration bar and stations to redeem a limited-edition lamb plushie. The plushie, with logo charms, takes its cue from the band’s Soft album and was made in a run of just 1,000 pieces for fans who signed up through The Kallang App.

There was also an exclusive T-shirt designed by Paul Klein, available for pick-up and purchase at the pop-up.

Some fans travelled for it. Weena Jade, 42, came from the Philippines and said she found the pop-up while following The Kallang on Instagram. “Getting my hands on the lamb plushie was the best way to cap this experience,” she said.

Why The Kallang App is worth having

The plushies went only to fans who registered on The Kallang App, and the app also gives The Kallang Kaki members priority access to some concert tickets. If you are planning to catch any of the big shows coming up, including The Kallang Countdown 2027 with Highlight, it is worth signing up so you do not miss the next drop.
