Kallang Wave Mall is going through a phased asset enhancement initiative from May 2026, with completion targeted for 2028. The mall remains open while CapitaLand and The Kallang reshape it around sport, lifestyle and waterfront activity.
For regular visitors, the practical point is that the mall is not closing. The changes will arrive in phases, so expect a mix of operating tenants, hoardings and new concepts over the next two years.
What Is Coming
CapitaLand says runners can look forward to a New Balance Run Hub, while the broader tenant mix will include cafes, family-friendly restaurants and bistro-pub concepts for post-workout or event-day dining.
The waterfront edge is also being reworked, which should matter during concerts, football matches and National Stadium event days when crowd flow and casual waiting spaces become part of the experience.
Why It Matters
The Kallang precinct is becoming more than a stadium cluster. A stronger mall gives event-goers, families and sports users somewhere to eat, shop and gather before and after major events.
