foodpanda is hiring delivery riders as full-time employees on at least S$1,800 a month, with full employer CPF contributions, medical coverage and paid leave, on foodpanda’s rider hub. The Employee Fleet is open to bicycle and e-bike riders only, and slots are being opened progressively.

The pay and the target
The S$1,800 base salary comes with a target of 320 qualifying orders a month. foodpanda reckons efficient riders can reach it in 100 to 110 hours a month. Employee riders do not earn a separate fee per order.
Riders work an average of 44 hours a week across a three-week roster, choosing from four-hour shifts that must be booked by 11.59pm on Monday for the following week. Those who hit 320 orders can be granted paid early release and stop employee shifts for the rest of the month.
Riders who complete their 44 hours but fall short of 320 orders keep their base pay and do not need to work extra unpaid hours. They can face remedial action, including termination.
Benefits on top
- Employer CPF at the full 17 per cent
- Up to seven days of paid annual leave, plus one more day for each year of service
- Medical coverage, S$100,000 term life cover and S$100,000 personal accident cover
- A retention bonus of S$100 a month for the first six months, up to S$600
- A S$100 monthly allowance for riders who bring their own e-bike
- A set of rider gear and a thermal bag
foodpanda provides e-bikes to riders who need one. During employee shifts, riders work assigned deliveries in their chosen zone and must keep an acceptance rate above 95 per cent.

Employee or platform worker
Employee riders are covered by the Employment Act. Platform riders choose when to deliver and are covered by the Platform Workers Act. Employees can still take freelance orders on a separate platform account outside their working hours, but those orders do not count towards the 320 target.
Paid leave keeps pay the same and lowers the order target. Unpaid leave needs approval and cuts pay while the target stays. Riders who leave the programme serve their contract notice and keep their platform account.
