DJI is set to officially unveil the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 on 16 April 2026 at 8pm SGT (12pm GMT), and leaked specs suggest this could be the most compelling pocket gimbal camera yet. Taglined “The World In My Pocket,” the Pocket 4 packs a 1-inch sensor, 4K video at up to 240fps, and a dramatically lighter body — all in the same pocketable form factor that made its predecessor a hit with vloggers and content creators in Singapore and beyond.
DJI Osmo Pocket 4: Key Specs and Features
Thanks to extensive leaks from retail packaging and early unboxing videos, we already have a comprehensive picture of what DJI’s latest pocket camera will offer. Here is what we know so far.

1-Inch Sensor With 14 Stops of Dynamic Range
The Osmo Pocket 4 retains the proven 1-inch sensor from the Pocket 3 but enhances it with 14 stops of dynamic range — a significant improvement that should deliver better detail in both highlights and shadows. For videographers and vloggers, this means more flexibility in post-production and better-looking footage straight out of the camera, especially in challenging lighting conditions like Singapore’s harsh midday sun or golden hour shoots at Marina Bay.
4K at 240fps Slow Motion
Perhaps the most exciting upgrade is the 4K recording at up to 240 frames per second. This is a massive leap from the Pocket 3, giving creators the ability to capture stunning slow-motion footage at full 4K resolution. The camera also supports 10-bit D-Log colour for professional colour grading, along with 2x lossless zoom for getting closer to subjects without sacrificing image quality.

35% Lighter at Just 116 Grams
One of the most impressive improvements is the weight reduction of approximately 35% — from 179g on the Pocket 3 down to around 116g on the Pocket 4. Despite being significantly lighter, DJI has managed to fit a larger 1,545mAh battery that promises up to 200 minutes of recording time. That is more than three hours of continuous shooting — enough for an entire day of content creation without needing to recharge.
New Hardware Controls and Design
The Pocket 4 introduces several ergonomic improvements over its predecessor. Leaked press images reveal two new physical buttons — a dedicated zoom rocker and a programmable “C” shortcut key — both positioned for thumb access while filming on the move. The rotating touchscreen is larger and brighter than the Pocket 3’s display, and there is a new textured grip for better handling.
107GB Built-In Storage — But What About the SD Card Slot?
The Osmo Pocket 4 comes with 107GB of built-in storage with transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s. However, there has been some controversy around the microSD card slot. DJI’s teaser video showed SD cards being symbolically discarded, sparking concerns among creators who rely on expandable storage for long shoots. Some leaked hardware renders, however, show what appears to be a slot cover on the left side, suggesting the SD card slot may still be present — just hidden behind a door. We will know for certain on launch day.
Additional Features
The Pocket 4 also packs:
- ActiveTrack 7.0 — DJI’s latest subject tracking technology for smooth, automated following
- 4-channel audio — improved audio capture for vloggers
- Built-in LED fill light — handy for low-light vlogging
- Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.1 — faster wireless connectivity and wired transfers
- Physical joystick controls — for precise gimbal adjustment

Should You Upgrade From the Pocket 3?
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 looks like a compelling upgrade for anyone using the Pocket 3 or older models. The combination of 4K 240fps slow motion, a 35% weight reduction, significantly longer battery life, and new physical controls make it a serious contender for the best pocket vlogging camera in 2026.
For vloggers, travel content creators, and even casual users in Singapore who want a stabilised camera that fits in a pocket, the Osmo Pocket 4 is shaping up to be an excellent choice. Stay tuned for our full review once the device officially launches on 16 April 2026.
