CATS opens at Sands Theatre on 29 October, with tickets from S$68

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS opens at Sands Theatre on 29 October and runs until 22 November 2026. Marina Bay Sands has tickets on sale from S$68 to S$238 before booking fees, with prices that move with demand.

The show is in English and runs 2 hours 25 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. It is the musical built on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, and the one with “Memory” in it.

Show times across the four-week run

Off-peak shows are Tuesday to Thursday at 8pm and Sunday at 6.30pm, except on the eve of a public holiday. Peak shows are Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 1pm and 6.30pm.

Two Saturday shows a week make the 2pm matinee the natural pick for families, since the 8pm curtain puts the finale close to 10.30pm.

Ticket prices by seat

Prices carry a range because Marina Bay Sands uses dynamic pricing. The lower figure applies on quieter nights and the higher one on busier ones.

  • Jellicle VIP: S$208 to S$238
  • A Reserve: S$158 to S$178
  • Dress Circle, with a drink: S$158 to S$178
  • B Reserve: S$128 to S$148
  • C Reserve: S$98 to S$118
  • Obstructed View C Reserve in the Grand Circle: S$98 to S$118
  • D Reserve in the Grand Circle: S$68 to S$88
  • VIP Box for four, with a drink each: S$752 to S$832
  • Grand Circle Box for four: S$632 to S$712

The Obstructed View seats cost the same as C Reserve, so C Reserve is the better buy at that price. The Grand Circle D Reserve is the only band under S$90.

Age limits and house rules

The recommended age is 7 and above, and children under 7 will not be admitted. Under-12s must be with an adult. Doors open 60 minutes before the show, and latecomers wait outside until a suitable break.

The production uses strobe lighting and fog effects. The Sands Theatre box office opens from 11am to 8.30pm and can be reached on +65 6688 8826. Group bookings go through Base Entertainment Asia.

Marina Bay Sands is also selling dinner-and-show packages with Bread Street Kitchen, Maison Boulud, Wakuda, KOMA, CUT and Yardbird.

Why this one still sells

CATS had its world premiere at the New London Theatre in 1981 and ran there for 21 years and nearly 9,000 performances. It opened on Broadway in 1983, won seven Tony Awards and stayed for 18 years. The production has since played in 54 countries and 23 languages to more than 77 million people.

The original production was designed by John Napier, choreographed by Gillian Lynne and directed by Trevor Nunn. It won Olivier and Evening Standard awards in London, and the cast album won a Grammy.

The Singapore run closes on 22 November.
