ActiveSG hockey holiday programme opens for 23 to 29 November, from S$54

Registration for the ActiveSG Hockey Academy School Holiday Programme opened at 12pm on Sunday 1 November, with four three-day runs across Singapore between 23 and 29 November. Each costs S$54 for ActiveSG members and S$77 for non-members, and the SHP60 credits can be used to offset the fee.

The programme is built as a first taste of hockey for children aged 5 to 16, which on the academy’s reckoning means those born from 2010 to 2021. Alongside the basics, the three days include specialised clinics such as goalkeeper training and a skills showcase.

Dates and venues

Every session runs from 8.30am to 10am.

  • ActiveSG Sport Village @ Jurong Town, 2 International Road: 23 to 25 November.
  • Sengkang Hockey Pitch 1, 57 Anchorvale Road: 25 to 27 November.
  • Hockey Village @ Boon Lay, 88 Boon Lay Place: 27 to 29 November.
  • Delta Hockey Pitch, 900 Tiong Bahru Road: 27 to 29 November.

Each run needs at least five participants to go ahead, so a thin sign-up at one venue could see that run dropped. Registering early, or choosing a second venue as back-up, is the practical move.

What to bring

Kit is simple. Come in sports attire: a Dri-Fit T-shirt, sports shorts or a skirt, sports socks, and running or turf shoes. Essential equipment is provided, and hockey sticks are available on loan for the session, to be handed back at the end. Children who already own a stick and gear are encouraged to bring their own.

The academy runs in partnership with the Singapore Hockey Federation, and the holiday programme is its short-course entry point, held during the long school breaks in June and at the end of November.

Where it can lead

For children who take to it, the next step is the academy’s seasonal programme, which runs in 10-week blocks with up to two sessions a week in two groups: Under-12 for ages 5 to 12 and Under-16 for ages 13 to 16. A block costs S$130 for members and S$185 for non-members, and ActiveSG credit can offset 30 per cent of the fee. Registration for the current 2026 Season 4, which covers September to November, has closed. Football boots are not allowed.

The seasonal programme now runs at six centres, after Chua Chu Kang Secondary School at 31 Teck Whye Crescent joined in 2026. The others are the four holiday venues and the MOE Evans centre at 21 Evans Road.

Above that sits the Development Centre, which is by invitation only and takes Under-12, Under-15 and Under-19 players. Its current intake is closed.

One change for December

ActiveSG has also trimmed its December holiday multi-sport schedule at Delta. Everywhere else the multi-sport programme runs twice, but the Delta camp now runs once only, from 18 to 20 December, with football on the Friday, basketball on the Saturday and hockey on the Sunday.
