The National Heritage Board (NHB), in partnership with Arts House Group (AHG), has launched Heritage Activation Node @ Mountbatten (HAN@Mountbatten) with a new community mural at Mountbatten Community Club. The mural draws on residents’ stories and memories, with contributions from local youth.

A mural built from residents’ stories
The artwork was created by Goodman Arts Centre artists Iefa Shamsir and Asno (Shah Rizzal). It is the first in a series of community activations celebrating Mountbatten’s people, stories and heritage.

Stories We Share
HAN@Mountbatten is themed Stories We Share. It will bring artists and residents together to uncover and reimagine the neighbourhood’s heritage through community-driven initiatives.

How to take part
From the launch, HAN@Mountbatten is calling for stories. Anyone with a connection to Mountbatten can contribute memories through the HAN website at roots.gov.sg. The programme page for the neighbourhood is at roots.gov.sg/han/neighborhoods/mountbatten.
