Singapore’s first lenticular stamps, which switch between old and new views of the Fullerton Building and the postman when tilted, are on show at SingPost Centre until Sunday, 11 October. SingPost’s World Post Day programme runs daily from 10.30am to 9pm in the Level 1 atrium, and admission is free.

SingPost Centre is at 10 Eunos Road 8, beside Paya Lebar MRT station on the East-West and Circle lines. The event opened on 8 October, so Saturday and Sunday are its last two days.
The Then and Now stamps
SingPost issued the Singapore Then and Now pair on 9 October. Each stamp is S$10 and measures 55.1mm by 49.5mm, printed by Royal Joh. Enschedé in the Netherlands and designed by Lim Wenbin. The set is a collaboration with The Straits Times, whose photojournalists chose four images of Singapore’s postal history for the pair.
The Fullerton Building stamp moves from the old General Post Office to the hotel it is today. The building opened in 1928, had a 90m curved service counter said at the time to be the world’s longest, and was known as Mile Zero, the point from which road distances in Singapore were measured. It reopened as The Fullerton Hotel Singapore in 1998 and was gazetted a national monument in 2015.
The postman stamp runs from the single messenger of 1819 to today’s deliveries. Postmen moved into the Fullerton Building in 1928, and the first postwomen joined in 1974.
What else is in the atrium
The exhibition, Tiny Windows into Singapore, is a walk-in album in six chapters that tells Singapore’s story through stamps. A new World Post Day MyStamp set puts HDB blocks, native wildlife and old playgrounds on stamps.
For the stamp rally, visitors pick up a card, visit the stations around the atrium to collect 10 chops, and hand the card in at the redemption booth for a set of stickers, while stocks last. There is also a postcard writing corner, with finished cards posted on site through a SingPost@MyBlock unit, plus an event cachet and daily datestamps for collectors.
Visitors who fill in a short survey at SingPost’s autonomous vehicle display get a free scoop of ice cream, from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, while stocks last.
