Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed lower across every category in the second September 2026 open bidding exercise that ended at 4pm on Wednesday (23 September), with Category A finishing at S$131,890 on OneMotoring figures also carried by Channel NewsAsia.
Category B closed at S$133,000, Category C at S$92,144, Category D at S$12,201 and Category E at S$137,000.

OneMotoring recorded 4,210 bids against a total quota of 3,229. Successful bids were 1,191 in Category A, 925 in Category B, 316 in Category C, 494 in Category D and 253 in Category E.
Who the premiums hit
From the May 2022 first exercise onwards, Category A covers non-fully electric cars up to 1,600cc and 97kW (130bhp), and fully electric cars up to 110kW. Cars above those limits take Category B. Category C covers goods vehicles and buses. Category D covers motorcycles. Category E is open for all except motorcycles and usually ends up on larger cars.
New registrations pay the quota premium from the exercise that produced the Temporary COE. Renewals pay the prevailing quota premium (PQP). OneMotoring lists PQP at S$128,715 in Category A and S$131,616 in Category B on this board.
Versus the last exercise
Category A fell S$1,119, or 0.84 per cent, from the record S$133,009 printed on 9 September. Category B fell 1.48 per cent, Category C 1.03 per cent, Category D 2.83 per cent and Category E 0.65 per cent.
The August to October 2026 quota remains 19,085, 0.2 per cent above the previous quarter. This second September round sat on the standing mid-month window after the 9 September close.

The official 2026 schedule lists October’s first exercise as opening at 12 noon on Monday, 5 October, and closing at 4pm on Wednesday, 7 October.
