Old Chang Kee launches Salted Egg Taro Mochi’O from S$3.80 through 30 September

Old Chang Kee has put its Salted Egg Taro Mochi’O on sale at outlets islandwide from 1 September 2026 through 30 September, or while stocks last. The seasonal puff, window and prices appear on the chain’s official homepage lightbox and Mid-Autumn artwork, checked on Wednesday (Sep 2).

The puff is listed at S$3.80 for one and S$6.80 for two on Old Chang Kee’s own promo art. That two-piece bundle works out to S$3.40 each.

Old Chang Kee brands the item as Salted Egg Taro Mochi’O (咸蛋芋泥麻薯角). The official artwork shows a flower-shaped puff stamped with the Chinese character for fortune, filled with taro paste, salted egg yolk and a stretchy mochi centre. A gold ribbon on the same artwork marks it as new with mochi for Mid-Autumn.

PRICE AND WINDOW

The homepage lightbox states availability at all Old Chang Kee outlets from 1 September till 30 September 2026, or while stocks last. The S$3.80 / S$6.80 lines are printed on the same official Mid-Autumn graphic that names the product.

Against a typical hotel mooncake, which often sits well above S$10 a piece once early-bird cuts end, the puff is a lower spend for a Mid-Autumn snack rather than a boxed gift. Little Big Red Dot’s hotel mooncake early-bird wrap and Starbucks Mid-Autumn 2026 collection sit in a different price band from this counter drop.

WHERE TO BUY

Old Chang Kee’s website lists the item for all outlets and carries GrabFood and foodpanda delivery links on the homepage. Individual outlet stock is not published online, so availability can vary by store before the 30 September cut-off.

HALAL STATUS

Old Chang Kee states on its awards page that all products, outlets and central kitchens have been certified Halal by Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) since 7 January 2005. The chain still displays the MUIS mark on its site header.

The same Mid-Autumn graphic carries Old Chang Kee’s 70th anniversary mark (since 1956). The chain has not published a daily production cap or a per-customer limit for the puff on its website.
