i Light Singapore 2026: Marina Bay Installation Highlights To Plan Around

i Light Singapore 2026 is shaping up as a Marina Bay walk rather than a single stop. The installation list already points to works that are interactive, family-friendly and spread across the waterfront.

Three pieces are especially useful for planning a first route: Let’s Fish the Sun! at Lower Boardwalk, WAVE at The Promontory and Infinite Graffiti at the entrance of Marina Bay Link Mall.

Three Installations To Anchor The Walk

Let’s Fish the Sun! by Wentao Wang places a glowing orb over the water like a setting sun. Visitors turn the rod’s winch to lift the orb and change its colour from crimson to amber and warm white.

WAVE by Masamichi Shimada uses five silver sticks. Tapping a stick sends light and sound outward, turning a small gesture into a visible ripple.

Best For Families And Groups

Infinite Graffiti by Graffiti+ is the easiest group stop because it keeps the familiar action of spray-painting while using light instead of paint. Its Marina Bay Link Mall location also makes it a practical sheltered meeting point before or after dinner.

The route works best as an evening loop. Start before the crowd peaks, keep the waterfront walking distance realistic, and pair the installations with a meal around Marina Bay or Downtown.

Planning Notes

  • Lower Boardwalk: best for Let’s Fish the Sun! and waterfront photos.
  • The Promontory: use this as the WAVE stop.
  • Marina Bay Link Mall entrance: useful end point for Infinite Graffiti.
