Singapore public holidays 2026 are worth checking again before the end-May and June school-holiday stretch. MOM’s official list places Hari Raya Haji on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, and Vesak Day on Sunday, 31 May 2026, with Monday, 1 June 2026 observed as a public holiday.
That creates a midweek public holiday followed closely by a Sunday holiday replacement, which affects leave planning, childcare logistics, retail staffing and short trips.
What Employees Should Check
Employees covered by the Employment Act are entitled to 11 paid public holidays. If you are required to work on a public holiday, MOM notes that you are entitled to an extra day’s salary at the basic rate, in addition to the gross rate of pay for that day.
Some employees may receive time off in lieu by mutual agreement, depending on role and arrangement.
Travel And Family Planning
If you are booking a short regional trip, the 27 May and 1 June dates may affect flight prices and leave calendars. Parents should also check school holiday activities early, because popular workshops and museum programmes fill quickly during this period.
