It seems like every other month there is a new luxury mall opening in Bangkok. The latest one is Dusit Central Park.
Dusit Central Park is not technically new as in it did not open in perhaps the last month. It opened in the second half of 2025. However, I never felt the need or the urge to visit Dusit Central Park. The reason is because I do not think that this new mall is going to offer something that other older malls did not offer.
For starters, Dusit Central Park connected to the Silom MRT Station. You reach the mall via exit 2. If you are taking the BTS, then get off at BTS Sala Daeng and take exit 4 or 5. This area is in the central business district of Bangkok. Extremely congested, surrounded by office buildings, it is always a mistake to commute via the roads. Therefore, being connected to a train station is a plus.
But then every other mall is also connected to a train station. Also, One Bangkok, a much larger mall, is located one station away from Dusit Central Park.
So here is the inside of Dusit Central Park. For starters, it is not a very large mall.

If you are looking for a Pop Mart, you can find one on the second level. It is relatively large. I would say similar to the one at Central World.

The mall looks expansive. But then so do most shopping malls in central Bangkok.

I am not sure that Beauty in The Pot is Singapore’s best hotpot. By what measure?

The restaurants are concentrated on the top levels as well as on the ground floors. This is the top level.

Surprisingly Pralet is also in Bangkok.

There is a Kao Soy restaurant on the top level. However, there is an Ong Tong branch in the food court in the basement. I think that should be the better choice for Kao Soy if you are in Dusit Central Park.

This sushi outlet had a ridiculous queue. And they only took reservations via an app.

There was a sky park with amazing views of Lumpini Park.

The sky park connects the 4th and 5th levels.

From certain angles, this mall just seems like a very average mall.

Dusit Central Park was not very crowded when I visited. But this was on a weekday afternoon.

It is rare to see greenery in Bangkok. Bangkok is very built up with very few green spaces (it is improving progressively though).

I believe this shot is where influencer would take. I see these escalators in so many Instagram or YouTube posts.

There is a Tops supermarket… because… why not?

You go down from the ground level to the Parkside Market a.k.a. the food court.

The unique thing about this food court is the sheer number of outlets from brands that have been awarded Michelin awards. This is Ong Tong Kao Soi.

There is ample seating. Even during dinner time at about 6pm, this place was not crowded. Well not Siam Paragon food court crowded.

You can look for the Michelin badges displayed to know which outlets are the brands that carry the awards.

I chose to try this Pad Thai stall though. Which was good. Amazingly I think the best Pad Thai is served at CoffeeBean by Dao at Central World. Try their version of Pad Thai with wantons.

This is good too!

So is there a need for another luxury mall? I really do not think so. Why not reinvent the current ones? Why is there a need to open so many luxury malls? Is there a need for one at every MRT or BTS station?
Dusit Central Park for me is a mall which I would visit once and perhaps not again for a very long time. One thing to note is that there is a Board of Investment branch located at Dusit Central Park. If you are going to apply for certain visas, you may have to visit their office. Other than that, I think everything else that you can find at Dusit Central Park can also be found at larger and more established malls.
Yours sincerely,
Daryl
