Singapore’s bar scene has just landed a global spotlight. YIN at The Riverhouse has become the first bar in Asia Pacific to be featured in HEINEKEN’s global Praise the Bar series, the video franchise that celebrates the people, places and stories behind bars that bring communities together around the world. For a homegrown venue by the Singapore River, it is a notable nod, and the YIN Praise the Bar episode puts Clarke Quay’s heritage nightlife on an international stage.

A heritage setting that shifts through the night
Set within one of Clarke Quay’s historic landmarks, YIN brings together old and new. The heritage courtyard evolves from an intimate cocktail destination early in the evening into a vibrant late-night venue, a rhythm that mirrors the changing face of Singapore’s bar culture. You can watch the full episode below.

Backing the people behind the bar
For Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore (APBS), celebrating great bars also means supporting the people who run them. Over the past two years, APBS says it has trained more than 700 hospitality professionals across 140 outlets through initiatives aimed at building bartender capabilities and raising serving standards across the city’s on-trade scene.

More to come with There’s A Bar For That
APBS says the YIN feature is only the beginning. The brewer will continue spotlighting the bars, communities and passions that shape Singapore’s social landscape through its upcoming There’s A Bar For That initiative, with more planned in the months ahead.
