The golds came early in Singapore’s medal run. Tiffany Teo took women’s traditional MMA 60kg on 22 September. Shanti Pereira won the women’s 200m on 27 September after silver in the 100m.

The silver haul

Gan Ching Hwee collected three swimming silvers in the women’s 1500m, 400m and 800m freestyle. Kiria Tikanah took women’s individual épée silver. Loh Kean Yew finished runner-up in men’s badminton singles. Sailing added three more silvers: Sean Kum and Nigel Tan in the boys’ 29er, Jania Ang in women’s ILCA 6, and Ian Goh in boys’ ILCA 4.

Bronzes and the finish

Bronzes included Zeanne Law in wushu taijiquan and taijijian, Maxine Wong in women’s foil, the women’s fencing team, Darren Yap in taekwondo poomsae, Shannon Tan in women’s golf and John Wong in boys’ iQFoil.

Yap added a second bronze in mixed virtual taekwondo on 2 October, a day after his poomsae medal. Wong’s iQFoil bronze is Singapore’s first Asian Games windsurfing medal and the fourth sailing medal of the Games, after three silvers.

The tally tops the 16 medals from Hangzhou 2023. The 2026 squad leaves Japan with golds in MMA and athletics, a deep swimming and fencing haul, Loh’s badminton silver and a late sailing surge.
