Still Plenty to Discover: Upcoming Highlights at vOilah! France Singapore Festival 2026

The vOilah! France Singapore Festival 2026 is in full swing through 20 June, bringing together 29 programmes across Singapore. Organised by the Embassy of France in Singapore, the festival celebrates French creativity and culture through music, performing arts, visual arts, cinema, literature and gastronomy. With June fast approaching, here are the upcoming highlights still to come.

Movies by the Beach

Movies by the Beach — French animated films at Sentosa at vOilah! France Singapore Festival 2026

23–24 May 2026 | Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden, Sentosa

Take the family for a French cinema night under the stars at Sentosa’s Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden. Free outdoor screenings include the César Award-winning Ernest and Celestine, Michel Ocelot’s Dilili in Paris, and the Annecy Award-winning Calamity: A Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary. A wonderful way to introduce younger audiences to the best of French animation.

Presented by the Singapore International Festival of Arts 2026, this spectacular performance is a collaboration between French choreographer Damien Jalet and Japanese visual artist Kohei Nawa. Planet [wanderer] is a mesmerising blend of dance and visual art exploring the primal forces of the universe.

One Ocean: Every Action Ripples

Part of the festival’s science programme, this immersive exhibition is where ocean research meets interactive discovery. Explore how the world’s oceans are connected and why every individual action matters in protecting them. Running through January 2027, it is a great visit for families and students alike.

Quatuor Modigliani

France’s acclaimed Quatuor Modigliani brings Beethoven’s music from 1826 — his penultimate year — to life at the Esplanade Recital Studio. Known for their warm tone and interpretive depth, this promises to be an evening of intimate and deeply felt chamber music.

Crosscurrents: Masterpieces from the Musée du Louvre

19 June 2026 – 24 January 2027 | Asian Civilisations Museum

The centrepiece of vOilah! 2026 arrives in June: Crosscurrents: Masterpieces of Indian, Iranian and Ottoman Art from the Musée du Louvre makes its Southeast Asian debut at the Asian Civilisations Museum. The exhibition brings masterpieces from the Louvre’s Islamic art collection into dialogue with ACM’s own collection — a once-in-a-generation cultural event not to be missed.
