StarHub launched 5G+ on 1 September 2026, adding 700MHz spectrum so customers on every StarHub 5G mobile plan get wider coverage and speeds of up to four times faster indoors and underground.
The telco said existing 5G plan customers receive 5G+ automatically, and new customers get it from day one. To mark the launch, new sign-ups and port-ins on Unlimited+ Max and Platinum plans get 50 per cent off for six months from 1 September.
What 5G+ changes on the network
StarHub ties 5G+ to deeper indoor and underground reach on 700MHz, including office towers, malls, basements, car parks and live events. The company frames the upgrade as stronger consistency in places where ordinary 5G is often tested hardest.
A 5G+ SA-ready handset and a 5G SIM or eSIM are required. StarHub’s 5G+ page lists supported phones across Samsung, Honor, Oppo and other brands, and says there is no extra charge on eligible 5G postpaid and prepaid plans.
50 per cent off Max and Platinum for six months
The six-month half-price deal covers new Unlimited+ Max and Platinum sign-ups and port-ins from 1 September 2026. It does not rewrite every plan on the board; StarHub points readers to starhub.com/5g-plus for offer detail.
For enterprises, StarHub also flags Enterprise Priority Services so organisations can prioritise network access for key users when demand is high.
