Singapore National Coffee Championship 2026: 67 Competitors, 4 Categories, 15–17 July

Singapore’s most competitive coffee event is back. The Singapore National Coffee Championship (SNCC) 2026 returns from 15 to 17 July 2026 at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, bringing together 67 of the nation’s top baristas and coffee professionals for three days of high-level competition.

Organised by the Singapore Coffee Association (SCA), the championship is the country’s flagship competition for the coffee industry — a platform where precision, creativity, and craft are put to the test in front of live audiences and industry judges.

Four Competition Categories

SNCC 2026 runs across four national championship categories, each testing a distinct aspect of coffee craft. The winner of each category earns the right to represent Singapore at the World Coffee Championships 2027.

  • Singapore National Barista Championship (SNBC) — Competitors prepare a series of espresso-based beverages under time pressure, demonstrating technical precision and creative beverage development.
  • Singapore National Brewers Cup (SNBRC) — Focuses on filtered coffee prepared by hand, testing manual brewing technique and service excellence.
  • Singapore National Latte Art Championship (SLAC) — Baristas compete to create the most intricate and visually precise latte art designs, where consistency and creativity are judged in equal measure.
  • Singapore Cup Tasters Championship (SCTC) — Competitors identify taste differences in specialty coffees by speed, accuracy and skill. It is arguably the most pressure-packed category of the four.

A Growing Field Of Competitors

This year’s competition features 67 competitors — a field that includes first-time entrants stepping onto the national stage for the first time alongside returning champions. The mix signals a healthy growth in Singapore’s specialty coffee community, with more professionals choosing to pursue their craft at a higher competitive level.

The championship is designed to raise the profile of the barista profession in Singapore and to set a benchmark for best practices in coffee preparation. For spectators, it offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at what separates a good cup from a championship-level one.

Co-Located With SIGEP Asia 2026

SNCC 2026 is staged within SIGEP Asia 2026, the third Asian edition of the world’s leading Italian artisan gelato, pastry, bakery and coffee trade show. The three-day event also runs alongside Specialty Food & Drinks Asia (SFDA) and Restaurant Asia, making it one of the most comprehensive gatherings of the food and beverage industry in the region.

For coffee enthusiasts who are not competing, the event floor is worth a visit — exhibitors range from equipment brands to green bean importers, roasters and coffee accessories. SNCC sessions can be watched live from the competition floor. You can also check out the latest food and drink launches in Singapore and explore new café openings around the city in between visits.
