Singapore Airlines has shown its next-generation KrisWorld entertainment system, with 4K touchscreens, spatial audio and Bluetooth pairing for your own headphones. The airline is also adding Starlink satellite Wi-Fi to much of its long-haul fleet. Neither is flying yet: the new KrisWorld arrives on retrofitted Airbus A350s from 2027 and on the incoming Boeing 777-9.

Which planes get it
SIA is retrofitting 41 Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range aircraft, which return to service progressively from 2027. The 777-9s will carry the full set of new cabins, and the A350-900ULR gets First Class for the first time.
Screen sizes rise sharply. First Class gets 32-inch 4K screens and Business Class up to 22 inches. On the 777-9, Premium Economy screens go up to 16 inches and Economy up to 13 inches, with OLED panels on selected aircraft.
Headphones and sound
Spatial audio comes to every cabin on all three aircraft types. First Class passengers get Bang & Olufsen wireless noise-cancelling headphones. Business and Premium Economy get noise-cancelling headsets, and Economy gets wired earphones. You can also pair your own Bluetooth headphones, in every cabin on the 777-9 and in the premium cabins on the A350s.

A new interface
The menus have larger icons and better search and filters. A mini-player keeps a video running in a small window while you browse, and a sidebar shows time to destination and weather without stopping the film. Logging in with KrisFlyer lets you resume a programme from a previous flight and see your connecting gate and terminal for onward SIA flights from Singapore.

The library runs to more than 2,500 titles, refreshed monthly, including content from Apple TV, BBC, CNA, HBO Max, iQIYI and Paramount+, plus live BBC News and Sport 24 channels.
Wellness planner
A new wellness section offers sleep and meditation tracks, breathing exercises and in-seat stretches.

Starlink Wi-Fi from early 2027
Starlink arrives progressively from early 2027 on the A380, A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR. Wi-Fi stays free and unlimited for Suites, First and Business passengers, PPS Club members, and KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy and Economy. SIA plans to show the full new cabin experience in Singapore in November.
