Shannon Tan finished solo third at the Hero Women’s Indian Open on Sunday (25 October), on four-under 284 at DLF Golf and Country Club near Delhi, the Ladies European Tour (LET) reported. The 22-year-old Singaporean was the defending champion.

How the week went
Tan made a strong start to her title defence and was in contention until a difficult second round. She came back on Saturday with her best round of the week, which put her in the final group for Sunday alongside Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum and India’s Vani Kapoor. An under-par final round left her alone in third.
The winner
Phatlum won on 11-under 277 with a bogey-free final-round 65. She started Sunday one shot behind Kapoor, birdied the 3rd, 5th, 8th and 9th to reach the turn level, then pulled clear with birdies at the 15th and 16th as Kapoor dropped shots at the 10th, 12th and 13th.
It was the 36-year-old’s fourth Women’s Indian Open title after wins in 2008, 2009 and 2012, and the 23rd title of her career. She took up LET membership after the win.
Kapoor was second on seven-under, her best finish on the LET, which lifted her to 69th on the Order of Merit. Urs also won gold at the Asian Games this month. Sara Kouskova of the Czech Republic and India’s Pranavi Urs tied for fourth on three-under.
Tan’s month
The finish comes three weeks after Tan won individual bronze at the Asian Games in Nagoya on 3 October, the first by a Singaporean golfer (Singapore Golf Association). She came to the DLF course having won the title there in 2025.
The LET moves on to the Wistron Ladies Open at Sunrise Golf and Country Club in Chinese Taipei next week.
