We went for the lunch buffet at Nobu Singapore today, at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Lunch is from 12pm to 2.30pm, and the damage is $200 per pax. Sparkling water, tea and coffee are free flow. For a top up, I think you can get free flow alcohol as well.

The vibe
The place has a very nice vibe. High ceiling, hanging lanterns, wood everywhere, and it feels more like a place to hang out than a buffet hall.
This is not the typical, 100% focus on food and buffet vibe. Not what you would expect from a buffet, honestly.

The crowd is mostly expats, and it seems like a popular place for them to just hang out. Cozy, social, comfortable to sit and chat.
Tempura and salad
The food is split into four sections. First up is the tempura and salad, though I did not touch the salad.
The one item this place is known for is the cod fish. It is a pity the bite is too small. Not shiok. Our friend who dined there before said the serving used to be larger.
The rock shrimp tempura with the creamy spicy sauce is pretty not bad though. That one is a standout.

Live station
Next is the live station. The F1 Japanese beef steak was good. Every piece we had was tasty, and there was no tendon.

The scallops were slightly small, but decent too. If you are going to look at value, do the scallop, because on their dinner menu they are selling two for $32.

Sushi and sashimi
Then you get to the largest section in the hall, the sashimi and sushi. The table is long, but the variety is so-so in my opinion.
The sashimi only has tuna and salmon. Fresh, no doubt, but a thicker cut would be nice. The sushi is generally the safe choices.

Dessert and fruit
Last table is tucked at the end. Dessert and fruits. The selections are generally nice, and some recommended items are the sesame puff and the chocolate moist cake.

My personal verdict
Food: 4/5 — rock shrimp and beef carry it. The cod is too small. Sushi is just okay.
Ambience: 4/5 — very nice vibe. More hangout than buffet.
Service: 4/5 — staff were attentive, but that is probably what you would expect from such an atas place.
Will I return? One time is enough for me.
