Must-Try Lok Lok in Mount Austin Johor Bahru

When it comes to supper in Johor Bahru, a few iconic dishes are must-haves. Among the most popular are Wanton Noodles, Ramly Burgers, and the ever-delicious Lok Lok. Lok Lok, a skewered street food delight, is ubiquitous across JB’s popular districts, and I have my favorite spots scattered throughout the city.

One of the hippest and trendiest areas in Johor Bahru is Mount Austin, a district buzzing with a growing number of restaurants and cafes. A night-time drive through Mount Austin is incomplete without a stop at the vibrant and bustling Bro Lok Lok.

Additionally, the setup includes three food trucks parked side by side, ensuring plenty of space and options for everyone.

Although we were tempted by their best-selling prawns, we decided to save that for our next visit.

Even though we had a heavy dinner earlier, we couldn’t resist sampling a few items during our supper session.

My personal favorite, wherever I go, is the Bak Kwa. The experience of eating Bak Kwa is elevated by heating it up, making it a must-try.
