The Metaphor: ReFantazio Orchestra Concert plays the Esplanade Theatre on Saturday 21 November at 8pm, on Esplanade’s website. Doors open at 7pm. It is one of three Asian stops on the concert’s first tour outside Japan, with Kaohsiung on 31 October and Bangkok on 28 November.

The music
The concert is built on the soundtrack of Atlus’s award-winning fantasy role-playing game, scored by Shoji Meguro, the composer behind the Persona series. The programme takes in tracks from across the game, including “Ode to Heroes”, “King of Destruction” and “Prelude to a Heroic Tale”.
A 45-piece orchestra plays with a choir and vocalists. In Singapore that orchestra is the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra. Game cutscenes are synced in real time on a large screen above the stage.

Who is performing
Two of the original soundtrack vocalists, Maiko Katagiri and Keisuke Honryo, join the Asian dates. Ayako Ikeda, who played tabla on the soundtrack, is also on the bill. Thai conductor Thanapol Setabrahmana, assistant music director of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, leads the orchestra.

From Japan to a world tour
The concert premiered in Japan in 2025 and sold out. The world tour covers three continents, six countries and eight cities, opening in Dallas on 9 October and closing in Paris on 24 January 2027.
Event-only merchandise is sold at every show while stocks last, with prices varying by country.
