Manager Enzo Maresca told City’s channels the group still believed it could win with 10 men. Midfielder Elliot Anderson covered 11.6 km, the most of anyone on the pitch, and took 77 touches, more than any other City player. Summer signing Iliman Ndiaye came on at the break and helped push City up the pitch alongside Antoine Semenyo and Enzo Fernández. Marc Guéhi, Rúben Dias, Matheus Nunes and Gvardiol led City for clearances.
Donnarumma has prevented a total of 2.6 goals across four league games so far on Opta’s Expected Goals on Target model cited by City, with two clean sheets in that run.
