Lights by the Lake keeps free Mid-Autumn lanterns lit at Jurong Lake Gardens through Sunday 4 October 2026, 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily, across Lakeside Field, Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden.

This is the west-side programme at Jurong Lake Gardens, not the Gardens by the Bay lantern run. NParks organises it with partners including Science Centre Singapore and South West CDC.

Lantern trail to 4 Oct

Lakeside Field walks the Legend of the White Snake across five scenes, from Bai Suzhen’s human form to the battle at Jinshan Temple. Chinese Garden adds Chang’e and Jade Rabbit displays at the Cleansing Biotope Ponds, plus gate and White Rainbow Bridge pieces.

Japanese Garden carries Princess Kaguya at the Floral Garden and floating koi lanterns at Resthouse Pond. Sunken Garden’s lotus light wash runs 19 to 27 September, same evening window.

Cloud Pagoda light show

The Cloud Pagoda projection show runs only to Saturday 27 September, 7.30pm to 10pm every 30 minutes, with the last show at 10pm. It closes the White Snake story with a reimagined reunion of Bai Suzhen, Xu Xian, Xiao Qing and Fa Hai.

On 19 September the show paused for Rockestra and resumed at 9.30pm. On 21 September the pagoda glowed yellow and purple for World Alzheimer’s Day. Those one-off notes are already past; the half-hourly schedule still holds through 27 September.

Getting in

Entry is free. Jurong Lake Gardens is smoke-free, and open flames such as candle lanterns or sparklers are not allowed. NParks asks visitors to come by public transport; cyclists should park or dismount when the paths are crowded.

Chinese Garden and Lakeside MRT put you closest to the main displays. Hours and the Cloud Pagoda clock are on lightsbythelake.nparks.gov.sg.
