HONOR Magic V6: Singapore’s First Foldable With IP68 + IP69 Dual Water Resistance Launches 4 June

Singapore is set to be the first market outside China to receive the HONOR Magic V6 — and it’s bringing a world-first to the foldable smartphone category. The device officially launches on 4 June 2026 at Mandarin Oriental Singapore, and there’s plenty to be excited about.

World’s First Foldable With IP68 + IP69

The headline feature is a milestone for foldables: the HONOR Magic V6 is the world’s first foldable smartphone to achieve both IP68 and IP69 ratings simultaneously. That means it’s rated for immersion up to 4 metres deep and can withstand high-pressure water jets — a level of protection previously unseen in the foldable category. HONOR achieved this through AI Smart Packaging Technology with assembly precision down to 0.003mm.

Super Steel Hinge: 2,800MPa Aerospace-Grade Engineering

The HONOR Magic V6 is built around the new HONOR Super Steel Hinge, constructed from 2,800MPa special shield construction steel — an aerospace-grade material processed with precision manufacturing. The hinge has passed 500,000 fold-cycle testing and is engineered to withstand drop impacts. It’s the structural backbone that makes the Magic V6 not just thin, but genuinely durable.

Impressively Thin at 8.75mm Folded

Despite its robust build, the Magic V6 measures just 8.75mm when folded and weighs 219g — lighter than many conventional flagship smartphones. Unfolded, the body thins to a remarkable 4.0mm, pushing the limits of what’s physically possible in device engineering.

Dual-Screen Display Excellence

The Magic V6 features a 7.95-inch inner screen and a 6.52-inch outer screen, both running at up to 120Hz with LTPO adaptive refresh. Both screens share a 1.5% ultra-low reflectance rating and 4,320Hz PWM dimming — among the lowest in the industry. HONOR’s Nano Crystal Shield covers the outer screen, while an upgraded ultra-tough UTG glass protects the inner display with SGS-certified crease invisibility. Peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits on the inner display and 6,000 nits on the outer.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 3 + 7,150mAh Battery

Under the hood sits the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 3 (fifth generation), built on a 3nm process with up to 4.6GHz clock speed. Powering it all is a substantial 7,150mAh battery (in the 16GB + 1TB variant) featuring 32% silicon content — double the industry average — with an energy density of 985Wh/L. Charging is fast at 80W wired and 66W wireless.

64MP Periscope Telephoto + AI Camera Features

Photography is anchored by a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2-inch sensor and CIPA 6.5 optical image stabilisation — one of the highest stabilisation ratings available. New to this generation is an AI Film Colour Matching engine and AI Colour Engine for scene-intelligent colour correction, making the Magic V6 a capable camera device across zoom ranges from 1x to 10x.

MagicOS 10: AI Productivity & Apple Ecosystem Connectivity

Running MagicOS 10, the Magic V6 brings a full AI Meeting Assistant suite — real-time transcription in 8 languages and 6 dialects, AI meeting minutes, keyword alerts, and YOYO photo-to-document conversion. Notably, HONOR has expanded Apple ecosystem connectivity: the Magic V6 can act as a Mac extended display, share Apple Watch notifications, connect to AirPods, access iCloud files, and even act as a mobile hotspot for an iPhone in weak signal areas.

Singapore Launch: 4 June 2026

The HONOR Magic V6 launches in Singapore on 4 June 2026 at Mandarin Oriental Singapore. Singapore is the first country outside China to receive the device, making the launch a significant occasion for local tech enthusiasts and HONOR fans alike.
