Evolver VR at ArtScience Museum is a 25-minute experience about breath, the body and the systems that keep us alive. Running from 21 March to 16 August 2026 at the VR Gallery on Level 4, it follows oxygen from the mouth to the lungs, through the cardiovascular system and into branching internal landscapes.
The work is directed by Marshmallow Laser Feast, with ArtScience Museum listing Cate Blanchett as the voice-over performer and music by Jonny Greenwood, Meredith Monk, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Howard Skempton and Jon Hopkins. That tells you the tone: this is not a medical demo with a headset. It is a sensory artwork using biology as its route.
Who Should Book It
Evolver is suitable for visitors aged 11 and above. It is likely to appeal to people who enjoy immersive art, wellness-adjacent experiences, body science, VR storytelling or quiet digital installations. It may also work for a compact date activity because the run time is short enough to pair with dinner or another exhibition.
It is not the right pick for everyone. ArtScience Museum advises that VR experiences are not recommended for people with claustrophobia, a history of seizures, epilepsy or sensitivity to flashing lights. If any of those apply, choose another museum programme instead of pushing through.
Tickets And Timing
Standard adult tickets are listed from S$19, with local adult tickets from S$16. Standard concession tickets are listed from S$14, with local concession tickets from S$12. Session times run through the day, and ArtScience Museum asks visitors to arrive 10 minutes before the purchased timeslot because VR sessions start on time.
The strongest pairing is Flesh And Bones at ArtScience Museum, since both works approach the body from different angles. Flesh And Bones is slower and object-led; Evolver is shorter, more sensory and inward-looking.
If you are planning a full day, avoid booking Evolver immediately after a heavy meal or a rushed commute. VR can feel more intense when you are overheated, tired or unsettled. Give yourself a few minutes to arrive properly before the session.
