COE Sep 1st: Cat A S$133,009, B S$135,001; next bidding 21 to 23 September

The September 2026 first COE open-bidding exercise closed on 9 September at 4pm with quota premiums of Cat A S$133,009, Cat B S$135,001, Cat C S$93,101, Cat D S$12,556 and Cat E S$137,890 on OneMotoring.

Cat A set a fresh high on that board. Quota was 1,195 in Cat A with 1,708 bids received and 1,152 successful, leaving 43 unused. Cat B took 934 quota on 1,333 bids (910 successful). Cat C: 310 quota, 565 bids, 306 successful. Cat D: 514 quota, 657 bids, 495 successful. Cat E cleared all 300 of its quota on 513 bids.

Who pays which number

Cat A covers non-fully electric cars up to 1,600cc and 97kW (130bhp), and fully electric cars up to 110kW (147bhp). Cat B is everything above those power and capacity lines. Cat C is goods vehicles and buses. Cat D is motorcycles. Cat E is open, all except motorcycles.

Renewals do not pay this exercise’s quota premium. They pay the Prevailing Quota Premium, which OneMotoring publishes as a separate three-month average on the same results page.

Next bidding

The September second exercise opens Monday, 21 September 2026 at 12 noon and closes Wednesday, 23 September 2026 at 4pm, on the published 2026 COE bidding schedule. Bidding usually runs Monday noon to Wednesday 4pm twice a month.

COE sits on top of OMV, ARF and the rest of the on-the-road stack. The dealer OTR quote that matters is the one printed against the current QP, and it will move again after 23 September.
