The 2027 MetaSprint Series opens with a swim-and-run aquathlon on Sentosa on Sunday 24 January 2027, before a duathlon on 28 February and a triathlon on 21 March. Normal rates for the aquathlon apply until 9 December 2026. Discovery, the shortest distance open to anyone 16 and over, a 250m swim and a 2.5km run, is S$88 before 9 per cent GST.
Distances, ages and prices
Age is counted as of 31 December 2027. Normal rates apply from 14 October to 9 December 2026, and final rates from 10 December 2026 to 12 January 2027. All prices are before GST.
- XL, 18 and over: 1.35km swim, 10km run. S$185 normal, S$199 final
- Sprint, 16 and over: 750m swim, 5km run. S$121 normal, S$137 final
- Sprint Relay, 16 and over: 750m swim, 5km run. S$175 normal, S$192 final
- Discovery, 16 and over: 250m swim, 2.5km run. S$88 normal, S$98 final
- Youth, 12 to 15: 250m swim, 2.5km run. S$78 normal, S$88 final
- Kids, 8 to 11: 150m swim, 1.5km run. S$65 normal, S$70 final
- Fun Kids, 4 to 8: a splash in knee-deep water near the shore, then a 500m run. S$36 normal, S$45 final
Discovery and Youth share the same distances; Youth is for ages 12 to 15.
The entry standard
There is no qualifying time. Anyone can enter as long as they are fit, healthy and capable of completing the event, and entrants are advised to read the Health Advice page and consider the PAR-Q questionnaire. There is no registration on race morning, and confirmed entries are non-refundable and individual entries are non-transferable. Registration closes on the published closing dates or when the field is full, whichever comes first.
The swim follows a guide rope with rolling starts, and the run goes along Sentosa’s beachfront. The 2027 course maps and race-day schedule have not been published yet.
What the entry covers
Race kits are collected on site on race day, and the organiser asks athletes to arrive at least an hour before their start. The aquathlon kit holds a swim cap, a race bib worn on the front for the run and a timing chip for the left ankle. Every category except Fun Kids picks two items from four: a T-shirt or a Velcro patch, and a mesh bag or a foldable bucket hat.
Each entry includes a Triathlon Association of Singapore day-of-race licence with personal accident cover for ages 4 to 85, paying S$10,000 for death or permanent disability and S$500 for accidental medical expenses.
The three-race package
A 3-in-1 package covers the aquathlon, duathlon and triathlon, and the saving depends on the category. At normal rates, XL is S$515 against S$610 for three separate entries, a saving of S$95. Sprint is S$339 against S$404, saving S$65, and Discovery is S$253 against S$293, saving S$40. Youth saves S$40 at S$220, and Kids saves S$30 at S$182. At final rates the XL saving drops to S$90 and Sprint to S$60, while Discovery, Youth and Kids keep the same savings.
