Singapore Airlines starts flying to Madrid via Barcelona on 26 October, five times a week, making the Spanish capital its 15th destination in Europe and its second in Spain. The first flight, SQ388, leaves Changi at 11.30pm on 26 October, touches down in Barcelona at 6.40am the next morning and lands in Madrid at 8.50am.

The Madrid timetable
SQ388 leaves Singapore at 11.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays and reaches Barcelona at 6.40am the following day. The Barcelona to Madrid leg leaves at 7.40am and lands at 8.50am.
Coming home, SQ387 leaves Madrid at 10am, reaches Barcelona at 11.15am, departs again at 12.35pm and lands at Changi at 8.25am the next day. The European departures run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and the schedule is filed from 26 October 2026 to 27 March 2027.
The route uses the Airbus A350-900 long-haul variant with 253 seats: 42 in Business, 24 in Premium Economy and 187 in Economy.
What changes for Barcelona
The new service replaces the twice-weekly Singapore to Barcelona flights, which keep the SQ388 and SQ387 numbers and gain the Madrid leg. The three-times-weekly Singapore to Milan to Barcelona flights, SQ378 and SQ377, end from 27 October.
Munich, Milan and Gatwick
Munich gets a new three-times-weekly service from 26 October. SQ340 leaves Changi at 12.55pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and lands in Munich at 7.10pm. SQ339 leaves Munich at 8.30pm on the same days and reaches Singapore at 3.15pm the next day. With the existing SQ328 and SQ327, that makes 10 flights a week to the Bavarian capital.
Milan goes from four flights a week to daily on 25 October. SQ356 leaves Singapore at 12.05am and lands at Malpensa at 6.50am, and SQ355 leaves Milan at 12.35pm for a 7.30am arrival.
London Gatwick also goes daily on 25 October, with SQ314 leaving Changi at 2.30am and landing at 9am, and SQ313 leaving Gatwick at 1pm for a 10am arrival. That second Gatwick flight sits alongside the existing daily SQ312 and SQ309 and four daily Heathrow services, for six Singapore Airlines flights a day to London.
